Today we all went abseiling. The kids had an absolute blast, we borrowed a friend's harness for the kids. I really don't know who enjoyed it more, M taking the kids down or the kids. I had a few goes, the butterflies in my tummy at the top of the tower were in overdrive but each trip down didn't last long enough. I forgot how much I love doing this stuff, its great that the kids are getting old enough to join in.
M and I realised that we took J up to the top of Mount Kosciusko the month before his third birthday and now L has just had his first abseil a month before his third birthday. We are an adventurous family, tomorrow we heading off to the caves for more fun.
We also have a new addition to the family. Her name is Bella and she came to us via the pound. We loved being a two cat family and with Muffy gone, we decided to bring another into our lives. She is very sweet and loves being near to us, following us from room to room even. Pooka and her still have a way to go before they are friends but are getting more used to each other.

A flying photo update
Yarns - Blue Lagoon and Cranberry are my hand-dyes. They've been earmarked for these patterns - Blue Lagoon for Rivulets and Cranberry for Double Eyelet Rib .
Wired 4 Fibre Rainbow - I love this yarn and haven't decided yet if I will overdye it as I orginially planned.
Socks
Plain Jane toe up, basic toe up using up the leftover sock yarn I handdyed. I think the black on the toe is a bit strong, hopefully a black heel and cuff will help balance it out.
Lacy Chain - handdyed 5ply I bought from a local craft store, my own pattern.
Garden Sock - Very beautiful and well written pattern but my gauge has loosened as I knit the sock and I don't like the style of the round toe, so I'm not as keen on them as I was.
My latest addition. A Sheridan Junior spinning wheel. Sheridan spinning wheels are Australian made, the Sheridan company operated between 1969 and 1985, making spinning wheels and looms. I found this in a local junk store for $30 and couldn't walk past it. I have plans to do it up in a nice dark colour.
