or more accurately, the land of milk and sugar,
In my quest for chemical free beauty products I came across this tip for a facial exfoliate - lukewarm milk and brown sugar. After trying this, I can say that this will be my cleanser of choice from now on, I warmed about 2 - 3 tablespoons of milk and enough brown sugar so that not all of it dissolved and the mix felt a little grainy and then just rubbed it on my face.
The result - my face looks more translucent and is really soft feeling. The downside is you spend the whole time wanting to drink your face wash as it smells heavenly. Give it a try.
Maybe Cleopatra knew what she was on about, bathing in milk and all that.

Lach is off my knit list...
'mum my hands are cold, I need mittens' so off I go and churn out a pair of lovely green mittens; they get worn once, then 'they're too itchy'
next, 'mum my head is cold, I want an earflap hat like Josh's' so off I go and knit up an earflap hat for him (twice actually, due to an unfortunate scissor accident when I left the room and he tried to help by trimming the ends off it and cut a thumping great hole in it); it gets worn once, then 'its too itchy'
I line the hat in the most super soft polar fleece money can buy and........ 'its still itchy'
aargh I give up.
